Getting a taste for Surf, Fishing & Beach in Westport, WA
It’s not everyday you’re on set with a wet suit and your camera gear. This might have been one of the most fun shoots we have done in a while! Westport is a small town along Washington’s coast, and we were excited to create a film and photos that showcase all that makes their city great.
The creative direction for this project was with three themes in mind, based off of what Westport is known for. We got to hit the open ocean on a fishing charter to start the day and even saw whales while we were filming. Westport is known for their amazing year-round surf, so we got to do a surfing film, which was really fun. We even got to take a break and surf ourselves, which was long overdue!
We were then given access to the tallest lighthouse in Washington state by the mayor of Westport and brought our actors up there to get some epic aerial footage before we ended at the beach for a lifestyle portion of the shoot.
